The German Healthcare Export Group (GHE) e.V. brings together 51 innovative and fast growing companies from the area of medical technology, which are strongly export oriented. The GHE provides these member companies with a platform for exchanging their export business experiences. The GHE offers potential customers a wide variety of products and services, from OP equipment to hospital IT, and covers almost the entire medical technology product range. All in all the association represents around 80 percent by volume of all German exports in the medical technology sector.
The group was founded in 1991, when internationally renowned companies such as B. Braun, Eppendorf, Erka, KOB, Atmos, Martin, Dräger and Heraeus (today known as Thermo) established what was originally called the "Deutsche Export - Interessengemeinschaft Pharma, Labor, Dental und Medizintechnik" (German Export Community of Interest Pharmaceutical, Laboratory, Dental and Medical Technology). In 1992, the association then became known as the German Healthcare Export Group (GHE). From the time GHE was founded, its intention has been to improve cooperation between companies dealing with healthcare products worldwide. Due to its wide range of world-class products and expert knowledge, GHE is a competent partner in all fields of medical care and support. Located in Bonn (Germany) the group offers a central contact point, to which any international partner can address himself.
